She is passionate about creating collaborative care plans that support individuals in achieving lasting growth and well-being, hoping to empower them to regain control over their health and lives.

Audrianna Sparks, CNP

Audrianna has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and has worked in nearly every healthcare setting. Audrianna graduated with her RN in 2010. Audrianna practiced as an RN for 7 years until completing her masters in the science of nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner Certification in 2017 from Frontier Nursing University. She has also since completed an adult/gerontology acute care Nurse Practitioner certification and is certified in Emergency Medicine. She enjoys new ideas and innovation that put her entrepreneur spirit to work. Audrianna has developed several healthcare practices in the area from the ground up and strives to improve the quality of care to those she serves.

Sandra Guiteau, DNP

Sandra Guiteau is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over two years of experience. She holds both a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) and an MSN from Florida International University. Sandra is deeply committed to lifestyle medicine and preventive care and is passionate about empowering patients to improve their health outcomes. Before becoming an NP, she worked extensively as a community outreach coordinator, where she developed a strong appreciation for the patient-provider relationship, patient empowerment, and evidence-based practicesโ€”experiences that have guided her to where she is today. Sandra is also a proud mother to a wonderful 17-month-old daughter. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, writing, and paintingโ€”pursuits that inspire her creativity and help balance her work and personal life.

Allyson Means, PA

Allyson Means is a physician assistant in the stroke department at The University of Texas Medical Branch. She treats stroke patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings and assists with pre- and post-operative care following endovascular interventions, including cerebral angiograms, embolizations, and thrombectomies. Allyson is passionate about identifying the etiology of patients’ strokes and providing the tools and resources necessary to support their full recovery.

Sarah Gibbons, DO

Dr. Gibbons attended medical school at Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA. Following medical school, she became Active Duty in the United States Army. She completed her neurology residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and was chief resident during her fourth year of residency. Following residency she was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas and served as an Army Neurologist. While at Fort Hood, she held the positions of Medical Director of the Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic and the Chief of Neurology at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. Dr. Gibbons was honorably discharged from the Army in 2016. She subsequently completed the Headache Medicine Fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas in 2017. She has been with Saint Lukeโ€™s Marion Bloch Neuroscience institute since 2018 as an attending neurologist and associate program director for the University of Missouri-Kansas City neurology residency program.

Miguel Villagra, MD

Jeffrey Wertheimer, Ph.D, ABPP-CN

Chief of the Psychology and Neuropsychology Associate Director within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Director of Clinical Training, Neuropsychology Cedars-Sinai Medical Center & The California Rehabilitation Institute, Los Angeles, California Dr. Wertheimer is a board-certified neuropsychologist with a focus in neuropsychological and psychological assessment and psychotherapy, and he has developed innovative programming for cognitive and psychological resilience in medical populations, including programming for individuals who have had a stroke and their loved ones.ย  He assists in the developing and monitoring of process and outcome metrics, assisting with the establishment of evidence-based practice in rehabilitative medicine. Dr. Wertheimerโ€™s research interests include psychological adjustment and resilience with chronic illness, cognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms for individuals with cerebrovascular and neurodegenerative conditions, and inter-professional collaboration.

Lauren Sheehan, OTD, OTR/L

Lauren Sheehan, OTD, OTR/L, has dedicated her entire career to helping stroke survivors live to their greatest potential. She has a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Creighton University and has spent the last five years focusing on building innovative stroke technologies to enhance survivorsโ€™ rehabilitation experience. Lauren has served as an adjunct professor and lecturer of occupational therapy at a variety of institutions, and she is passionate about empowering stroke survivors to take charge of their life after stroke.

Tudor Jovin, MD

Internationally acclaimed neurologist and researcher, Tudor G. Jovin, MD, is based at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey and presides as the Chief and Chairman of Cooper Neurological Institute. Dr. Jovin is an expert in the interventional and non-interventional treatment for the entire spectrum of stroke and cerebrovascular disorders. He was one of the nation’s first interventional neurologists, a medical subspecialty that uses minimally invasive technologies applied from within the vessels to diagnose and treat diseases of the arteries and veins of the head, neck, and spine such as acute stroke, carotid stenosis, intracranial aneurysm, and arteriovenous malformations. In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Jovin is known internationally for his research activities. He has served as principal investigator for several international clinical studies including REVASCAT, a randomized trial of endovascular therapy versus medical therapy for acute stroke within eight hours of symptoms onset conducted in Spain, and DAWN, a multicenter, international, randomized trial of endovascular therapy versus medical therapy in the beyond eight-hour time window. Both studies are considered landmark studies in the development of treatments for acute stroke and have been published in the New England Journal of Medicine. He is a member of the executive or steering committees for several multicenter national and international trials, and has participated as site principal investigator or co-investigator in multiple national and international trials. Additionally, he serves as editorial board member for numerous medical journals. Dr. Jovin has published more than 300 articles in peer-reviewed journals or book chapters. The consequential nature of his research is evidenced by recently published studies that have identified Dr. Jovin as the highest impact author in the neuro-interventional field. Prior to joining Cooper, Dr. Jovin was a professor of neurology and neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and director of the Center for Neuroendovascular Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). At UPMC, he also served as the director of UPMC’s Stroke Institute, one of the leading centers for stroke care, education, and research in the world.

Nancey Trevanian Tsai, MD

Nancey Trevanian Tsai, MD is a board certified Sports Medicine Physician, Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is a Clinical Professor of Neurosurgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is also the Clinician representative for the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology AdCom, an officer of the South Carolina section of the IEEE, as well as a past Chair of the American Council on Exercise, a past Chair of the South Carolina Medical Association Young Physicians Section, a member of the Medical Society of South Carolina. She has a patent for the Blink Reflexometer in Australia and Japan, and the United States. She has also been a member of the USA Field Archery Team in 2010, 2012, and a national coach for USA Archery/Para- archery, whose athletes include national and world champions.
