Stroke Survivor & Podcaster
Bill broke his basal ganglia on June 3, 2017, when a blood clot decided his right middle cerebral artery seemed like a comfy place to call home. While Bill would like to blame a particularly bad classic Doctor Who story for the stroke, it's more likely a few years of scary high blood pressure is the cause. Bill wanted to learn more once he joined the stroke club but found no podcasts that addressed his needs. So he started his own. On the Strokecast podcast, he, a Generation X stroke survivor, explores rehab, recovery, the frontiers of neuroscience, and one-handed banana peeling. Bill's favorite word is "yet" and his favorite slogan is, "Don’t get best…get better." His favorite #StrokePerk is a toss-up between socially acceptable naps and an excuse to carry a cool cane.
