Gillian Mason

Gillian (she/her) is a proudly disabled science communicator, physiotherapist-researcher and patient advocate who has been working in rehabilitation since 2005. Researchers come at a problem with their scientific knowledge and the technical language around that. People who live with health problems, who are experts in the lived experience of that, use different language when describing how the health problem impacts on them in the real world. Gillian is most satisfied at work when helping people from these different worlds to understand each other and work together on new solutions.
