CareGiver I'm an East Coast transplant to the great Pacific Northwest! I spent the first part of my work life in DC as a lobbyist for children's health issue. I left that behind to pursue a career in marketing and now feel that I have gone full circle being back in the position of advocate, this time for my husband and other stroke survivors. My husband had a massive stroke in 2014 and we were given the very grimmest of prognosis. He has defied every prediction and we continue to take steps forward, but our health system needs improvements in giving hope and concrete help on the path to recovery (whatever form it takes).
